San Diego California
September 1-7 2009
We had been debating if we should take the boys on vacation with the way the economy is and all. We found a deal that we couldn't pass up so we decided to take the boys to San Diego. It was so much fun to enjoy each other and to make fun memories together.
So our first day in San Diego we went to Knott's Berry Farm. It was a fun place. Kayden was super brave. He went on the scariest ride first. (Of course he didn't know that.) He rode with me. It was call ghost rider. It was an old rickety wooden roller coaster. It made me sick. Kayden didn't love it but he didn't cry like I thougth he might. Keegan however through the biggest fit because he wanted to ride on it. He was way too little to ride on it. The kid would was helping people on and off thought it was funny that a three year old would even think it looked like fun!Keegan loved snoopy. Kayden wanted nothing to do with him. (To cool.) Knott's is in L.A. after they closed we drove down to San Diego.
This is the place! If you ask the boys what was the highlight of their trip to San Diego they would tell you LEGOLAND!! They loved it. I could post a 100 pictures of this place but I wont. We had a blast. Keegan could go on all but one ride. (To which he promptly through a fit about.) This was and is one of those places that we love and will have many fun memories of. Slava and I loved it because the boys loved it. The weather was perfect, not too hot not too cold.
One day (the hottest day, 102 degrees) we went to a family water park. They had big grown up slides (the ones I had no desire to go down), teenage slides (still no desire), Kayden size slides (a couple I did go down) and Keegan size slides. It was perfect. The boys played all day from open til close. It was wonderful.
This is one of Keegan's favorite water slides. He went down it a hundred times! This is a picture of Kayden, Shawna (me) and Keegan racing down the slide. (These were much faster then you would think!)
We had free ticket to LegoLands new Sea Life Aquarium so we stopped by before we headed to the beach. The boys loved it. Kayden was suppose to write a report on jelly fish so we were in the right spot.
One of the highlights of our vacation was the day at the beach. All of loved it. The beach was a little more rocky then we are accustom to. And because of the hurricanes that were in Mexico at the time, there was a lot of sea weed around. Kayden thought it was great. They were studying the ocean in school, so he brought home sea weed and sea shells for his class.
Of course we have to have our customary "SAND" picture with San Diego and the date. Although you can't read it well.
One morning we went to the U.S. Midway. The boys loved the huge ship. On deck was a number of helicopters and different air crafts. The boys had fun climbing in, on and around all of them. W e also got to tour the ship. Keegan loved playing in the "war" room. They let kids push all the buttons and levers.
