Look at me I am turning 3!

June 18, 2009
I can't believe it, my baby turned 3! Man, I must be getting old. I wish I could slow down the growing up process. Keegan is such a joy to be with. He knows how to work his mom and dad. When he know he is in trouble for something, he will grab our faces and kiss us. He knows that we cannot get mad at him. He is always telling me that "I am his bestest friend." Keegan loves to play with his friends. It doesn't matter with who or how old they are, he just loves playing with them. His best friend is Brevan. He and Brevan are quite the pair and will play for hours together. They are just 10 days apart in age. He calls Brevan "my Brevan." They even have the same swimming suits that they love to wear. (Mom loves it too!) Keegan is a smart little boy. He doesn't like to be called little. He always tells me "I bigger too!" Then he will show me his muscles by bending his arm at the elbow. Keegan knows all of his colors, counts to twenty and know his ABC's. He loves it when we sing and read to him. His favorite song right now is "I hope they call me on a mission." He loves his older brother Kayden and wants to be and do everything like him. Keegan is a happy boy and I love to hear him laugh. He loves Thomas the Train and "Star Wars." He started doing a funny thing a week or so ago. He would get something like a stick or pencil and put it down the back of his pants, I asked him what he was doing and he said that is were my light sword goes (a Light Saber from "Star Wars"). I am so thankful I am Keegan's mom. I am so lucky to have him.

Keegan was so excited for his birthday to come. We counted down the days till it got here. He finally got the whole presents thing this year. And when it came time to open all of them, he couldn't do it fast enough. This year we had a small birthday party with 7 of his friends from the neighborhood and church. We gave the boys a big blow-up water slide for their birthdays this year. The kids loved it and had a great time playing on it. The weather held out for us and ended up being a really nice day.

This was my attempt at a birthday cake. Although it looks like dirt, it tasted yummy! What is not to love about chocolate cake, whipping cream, candy, pudding and oreo cookies? Keegan and all the boys thought it was great. Thanks for the idea Jamie!

Keegan's face is priceless. We surprised the boys with their birthday present on the morning of Keegan's party. They both were so excited! Every time we went into Costco, Kayden and Keegan both would say that "wouldn't that be cool to have!"
It was fun to surprise them! The big surprise all put together! Hours and hours of fun. Mind you all the neighborhood kids love it too!
